Skomer island, located just off the coast of Pembrokeshire, Wales. It’s beautiful, untouched and full of nature.
Catching a small boat over to the island takes around 15 mins with a return time In four hours. Be sure to take water and food with you. There is literally nothing on the island but beauty, not even a toilet. Skomer island makes you feel like you are some where tropical. It’s full of lush vegetation everywhere. Lots of colourful shrubs and flowers you feel like your In Jurassic Park. It homes many birds and wildlife such as razorbills, guillemots, gannets, seals and much more. Of course I wanted to see the puffins and I was in luck, it was around early summer time. They were nesting and you can see them all over the place. Hundreds of the small birds flying out to sea and back with mouthfuls of fish.

The puffins come up fairly close although there is a small rope to keep people off the ground where they are resting but there is nothing to stop them getting as close to you as they like.
There is no negative to this place. It’s great for walkers, birdwatching, photographers or just to relax. Be sure to get there EARLY to get a ticket for the boat to the island, they only allow a set amount of people onto the island a day and also the boat will only go depending on the weather.

Your photos are amazing. The puffins are so cute! And what a beautiful island, too.
